About Us
ACE Impact CIC was born out of both necessity and commitment. When Basildon, Billericay and Wickford Council for Voluntary Service (BBW CVS) closed its doors in 2025 after many years of serving the local community, the dedicated team behind its work made a conscious decision: the impact couldn’t end there. Determined to continue supporting and empowering communities, we established ACE Impact CIC — a new organisation, rooted in the same values, but ready to evolve and respond to the changing needs of people and places.
We carry forward a deep understanding of the voluntary and community sector, grounded in real experience of delivering support, fostering collaboration, and championing inclusion.
Our focus remains the same: to help individuals and groups overcome barriers, develop their potential, and shape the future of their own communities.
Our Purpose
Our mission is to create the conditions where people can thrive — by addressing inequality, building capacity, and amplifying the voices of those who are too often unheard. We work across sectors to unlock opportunities, challenge exclusion, and ensure that community-led solutions are part of shaping local systems and policies.
What We Do
ACE Impact CIC operates across six key areas:
Community Empowerment: Providing training, workshops and leadership opportunities that support local action.
Capacity Building: Strengthening organisations and networks to grow their impact and sustainability.
Civic Innovation: Helping communities influence the decisions that affect them through creative engagement and co-production.
Research and Advocacy: Highlighting lived experience and turning insight into practical change.
Advice and Guidance: Connecting people to resources, opportunities, and each other.
Practitioner Profiling: Promoting collaboration and mentoring across the public, voluntary, and community sectors.
Our Approach
We don’t parachute in with answers — we listen, collaborate, and build with communities. Our work is guided by principles of fairness, trust, and transparency, and we believe in long-term, sustainable change driven by local leadership and knowledge.

ACE Impact CIC is the continuation of a legacy — but also a fresh start. We remain as committed as ever to supporting people where they are, challenging barriers where they exist, and working in partnership to create spaces where everyone can contribute and belong.
